I wish I knew in what way they are using "scalawag" here. Hopefully it will not be yet another Pirate Captain type of character but perhaps closer to a first mate or similar role then again if the approach is uniquely different I suppose another captain may be alright after all.

So I am hoping for not another captain type, but rather a common pirate who can be used to populate ships...
