December 21, 20186 yr go ahead and buy it losers - this thing will make it to 50% off easily on12/26. its comical how many of these are still at like every store. i'm also expecting to harvest greatly all the poorly placed elves technic and architecture stock that is tucked in the back corner of the books and collectibles sections at target where nobody goes to find lego.Is the Target 12/26 sale an annual thing? I know it was done last year.

December 21, 20186 yr It always boggles my mind the prices some people will pay for a $130 RRP set. My guess is late 20s/30s AFOLs getting back into the hobby (similar to myself from a year ago) and realizing how much cool stuff they missed out on the past 15 years. No way is Little Timmy's mom gonna pony up $430 for that. She will and does.
December 21, 20186 yr Back to the Modular discussion for a second...Besides basic design differences, Modular appreciation is based on the simple principal of supply and demand. The Grand Emporium was one of the top hoarded sets in our database. Pet Shop was the top.

December 21, 20186 yr I agree about the quantity hoarded being a major factor on what a set resells for later and I think that is directly related to how many of a set is made and how long it is active. https://retiringsets.com/lego-modular-buildings-list/

December 21, 20186 yr My local target has First Order Star Destroyer 75190 for $111 (30% off) and it's not moving. I've been at this target a couple of days this week and not a single set has moved at that price. I've avoided all of the Last Jedi sets. The only SW sets I'm even considering are OT stuff. If I'll build it, I'll get some extra is how I'm approaching it. I also took advantage of the Target cartwheel + online sale for constraction sets, but only two - Stormtrooper scout trooper on bike (75332) $20, and boba fett (75333) $12. I was glad I did in-store pick up. The bike set they tried giving me had a sticker "resealable" and the seals had clearly been opened. I balked but they claimed it was the only one they had. I went back to the LEGO dept and found their actual "last one." They swapped it out for me, thankfully. Cartwheel deal on constractions is good for another 3 days.

Like someone else said, I think these have a lonnnnng ways to go. I just looked online and you can order 99 of these. Of course, cartwheel apparently only works with in-store pickup. With cartwheel you're basically getting 50% off, but I haven't found a lot of desire for post-OT SW items.

December 21, 20186 yr I sold a ton of those and raptor rampages for good profits. I priced my last Indominus at 430$ thinking no one was going to buy it. I guess I underestimated the power of Christmas. That’s awesome! We tried our hand at investing a little last year (have 3 of these), but life gets in the way and we haven’t touched / listed anything due to various personal things. We think we will just hold on to most of the stock and donate them at next Christmas. Sent from my iPhone using Brickpicker Forum mobile app

December 21, 20186 yr Much of the Wal-Mart rollbacks appear to have gone back to normal Wal-Mart pricing today. Must be the cut-off for pre-Christmas ordering. Maybe some Dec 26 Rollbacks online again for a period, I don't recall in-store post-Christmas clearance being instant (Day 1), but usually within a week or two for sure.
