We've been praising Target and bashing Walmart this season, but we're beating up the wrong one on this.

Walmart isn't cancelling all orders.  I already stated I got my shipping confirmation this morning on mine.

Guys, please stop posting links to obvious scam sites. These are plentiful, especially during the Holiday season. At best, you get your money back from their payment processor (e.g. Paypal), which over time causes fees to rise for all of us. But you could fare way worse - with CC and contact details stolen, some fishy stalling scheme to get you out of refunds, or shipping you bogus bricks. Please STOP.

I think I got screwed(As in scammed or soon to be an owner of fake bricks) from a seller off Bonanza. Bought something quick to secure the set, but afterward checked the sellers inventory. Once I noticed numerous Temple of Airjitzu and Heartlake Grand Hotel sets way below value my fraud detector buzzed.

Lesson learned

Yes, that's a scam seller on Bonanza. The Bonanza platform of course works fine, kinda like eBay.

Wait and keep checking this thread (or sign up to get emails for every post). DO is popping up on Amazon once or twice every day at RRP.

Bonanza is a peer to peer seller site. While there are legit sellers there it's not regulated well and rife with scammers. Your getting scammed on the DO. Look at their other items for sale. Seem too good to be true? Because it is. There are even comments there that it's a scam seller. Phil B is right, stop posting this crap.

I’ve bought many of these for storage and have been tracking prices for about a year or so on these.

This is as low as they go - expecially for the 48in deep shelves. I’ve seen the 18 in deep ones go to a hair under $48, never seen these 24in  ones below $60.

These work great. I’d suggest storing the sets inside cardboard boxes to avoid the metal shelf “lip” pressing against the boxes.

Go to Home Depot and get their large size moving boxes - those are deep enough to both fit on the 24 in deep shelves and will allow you to put in any of the LEGO large size sets (Giant technic Porsche, modulars, UCS sets, giant creator sets, etc). 

The boxes will protext your investment and shield LEGO from peering eyes into yer garage

Get the shelves and boxes and you have a nice and inexpensive storage/protection system.

I’d  bite on these shelves in a heartbeat. SUPER easy to build. Maybe 15 minutes to 20 minutes each max.

Further bravo to you for considering the impact of deal chasing and whether it was really 'fair'.

Great advice particularly on lining the shelves.  Totally agreed about this deal. Best I’ve seen since HD put a similar kind on sale during the summer at around the same price. Just be aware that the deeper the shelves the less space you have to store your car and other lame things.
