Anyone have success b&n with store pickup?  My closest store doens't have anything but the one by my sister does ?

I checked inventory online then went directly to a store rather than BOPIS just to simplify the transaction and guarantee the member discount. And to avoid online order verification shenanigans.

If an item is already reserved for store pickup, it would still show up on the online inventory though, correct?

I saw a TON of stuff behind the counter yesterday.

many places ran out of the HP figs, which lessened the deal considerably for me.

Correct, reserved items have not been paid for and inventory has not decreased yet per the computer.

Didn't run into that problem on my excursion last night. Did encounter a store over the weekend where, despite online inventory showing the figs in stock, staff said they didn't have any and the promotion was over. B&N remains the least consistent store experience.

Also, saw Kessel Mine Worker figs on shelf tagged for $5.99 individual sale.

What's the trick to seeing if a store has the figure pack in stock?

The Google Shopping inventory tracker.

Look behind counter on the shelves.  They're usually there.  If you don't see them, just ask.

Edit:  If you mean before you go, then yeah, GIT.

I meant online ;) I just don't get the pack to come up in GIT - Do you have an item number?

Do you happen to have a link for this tool?

Just search for LEGO and sort by ascending price.

It's posted repeatedly in the B&N clearance thread.

Thanks. I didn't realize this existed.  I was thinking this was a generic google tool, but it appears to be a partnership with B&N. I am a frequent user of ******** primarily.

oh interesting, I started to see the Kessel Mine Worker showing up on the Google tracker, but not the HP Minifig 4-pack...

EDIT: my mistake, seeing it now after tweaking the search terms

EDIT2: and seeing that the store I went to last night at closing was totally blowing smoke about being out of stock of them!! ?

It works for most of the stores that let the Google Shopping tab crawl their store prices for searches flagged available nearby.

like other folks said, use google tool and sort the price from high to low or low to high as you prefer, if the store carries the promo set, it will show in stock for $.02

Just to throw in another wrench, it doesn't show online for my local store, but I went in this morning and was told "we have a bunch."
My store's always fairly inaccurate in what's "in stock," so at least they're consistent.

I would simply call them.  It's taken no longer than 3 min for me to get the answer when I've called.

If you don't know, I could never explain in a manner that you would understand.  You don't slag a group of sellers just because you want to make a comment and have no real experience with them, by your own admission.
