This is my 4th year doing this, and I've noticed that when the Black Friday deals were plentiful (i.e. last 2 years), there wasn't as much clearance items. Last year was pretty good in that I found lots of stuff at over 30% off, while many of the sets I liked were hovering around 20% off or less this year. However, I did like all the deals on the exclusives this year. It seemed in my first year, the deals seemed to be coming out of the woodwork after Black Friday and after Christmas. I wonder if it will be that way this year, with lots of stuff on clearance.

Any thoughts?

You can find Slave 1 deals on eBay near same price, rare, but they are there.  Heck I got two (a pair) of slave 1 UCS, NIB, for $170

I know, eBay is not trustful enough, but in the worst scenery I would prefer buying on Bricklink, still has a couple of Slaves 1 in decent price

eBay is not all that un"trustworth". A good portion of people here sell on eBay so I would argue you might not want to be accusing sellers of lego on eBay to be not trustworthy when a large part of us are sellers of lego on eBay. It does not really mix well.

This is all assume you have a Prime account. If you have to have a couple right now I only see PrimeNow has the slave one for 187.90. You can use your $5 "no rush shipping" codes to lower it more if you have saved them. There is also a $10 coupon for prime now a swell so it will lower the total more. If you have a amazon chase card there is 5% back to you. all in all one will be 177.90 + tax with 5% back in points.

Many thanks for this.  Picked up 10x 75197 for $7.49 each.  With a BL store, finding a good deal on a decent battle pack is like striking gold.
