December 4, 20187 yr If a cancellation is the fear, simply remove the freebie from your cart. I did this just to ensure that my orders would go through. Not ideal, but I don't want unnecessary cancellations on some pretty good prices.

I haven't ordered on B&N yet this season, placed 3 orders - First with promo, 2nd removing promo, and 3rd again with promo - and 3rd Order insta cancelled, I didn't even get an email. December 4, 20187 yr I'm trying this variant - I received promo with in-store purchase associated with my B&N membership. Placed my first and only order online this AM including the promo, also associated with my membership. Definitely not insta-cancelled.

Didn't get insta cancel until the 4th order. It's possible I had bought one of the sets in-store with membership before on that 4th order. I've had BN customer service explain my cancellations as "exceeding item limit" when doing multiple orders of 5 on the same item (even if it was weeks later.)

I was planning on doing this after work today, but then realized that there would be no more of the good sets left by that time, so I placed a couple orders and removed the promo from the cart for some of the better sets. We'll see if they get canceled or not.

It's kind of insane that they cancel the entire order instead of just removing the promo from the order or not allowing it to add to the cart if you have already received one on that account/name.

All of my orders are getting canceled. Promo or not. I don't understand what the theory is behind canceling all orders that are placed online.

December 4, 20187 yr I have two accounts. One for my business and one personal. I was able to place a single order on my business account this morning. It's still "processing". Every other order that I've placed on either my business or personal accounts has been canceled. I'm also going to stop after work today and see what I can pick up in my local store and see what's left for them to order at those prices, but I'm not too hopeful... unless they keep canceling everybody's orders!

Identified your orders as consistent with reseller orders. They've done this before.
