Walmart CS told me to reorder due to the same type of scenario, then 2 days later cancelled my order. Jokes on them, they lowered them again 30 mins after the cancelling and I put in 2 separate orders that went through just fine.

I think it's not a question of whether or not it's a good deal. What matters is that YOU want to build it. If you want to build it one day, then that makes it a good dea as far as I'm concerned.
November 26, 20187 yr In my book, once you cut those seals, you just knocked 20% of the value from the set. Maybe we have different customers but, for me, the difference between MISB and Opened, all bags sealed, usually equals about 20%. If you are buying for yourself, of course, it doesn't matter.I have never lost 20% on an open box / sealed bag set. Maybe 5% at most. I’ve sold plenty of $200 sets at $5 off because they were open box without a problem. Just be patient and don’t undercut yourself. There are people that will take the savings for a personal build, as well as the shopping discount (bags into a smaller dimension box vs a LEGO box) all the time.

It's been my experience that if you have the right kind of brick and mortar stores around you and you strike at the right time, you'll find it cheaper, especially this set considering new Infinity War sets will be out soon and this will be discounted big to make room for it. But 35% off for a personal build isn't bad... cuts down the odds that you're at that local store at the right time to be able to pick one up. I think with certain extreme exceptions, deepest across-the-board discount you're going to see is 50%. So is it worth it to sit and wait to hope to get a 50% or spend the extra $15 now? It's about .06/brick which at that price is just ok - picked one up off FB Marketplace for $50 and it was a legitimate set. So yeah, waiting until this thing drops a bit more.
