Any thoughts as to why 60140 is so unpopular? Even before these sales, it was avail under $40 for a very long time, and just doesn't seem to be moving. Especially at that price for what's included, seems like a steal.

No idea, but I passed on picking several up at WM clearance. I think the lowest was $30. It’s big to ship and it is a city set. The only caveat about city sets is if it is small or has the word port in it.

Not sure why you think it is unpopular...there are a lot of sets that have lingered at cut rate prices.

I don't mean to get off topic, but if someone can summarize how so many of you got banned from WM, that would be much appreciated. I'm only order 2-3 of sets when they're on sale. Are you guys really going 10+ deep on orders to trigger some sort of alert on their side?

summary: large number of brickpickers are getting banned by walmart over last few days.  order gets placed, stays stuck in preparation status and is then cancelled because of some bs credit card issue.  many are getting banned on small orders 1 deep or 2 deep but with maybe a deep buying history. be cautious.  not clear what they are doing here.

Ha, I was thinking the bankruptcy, but that is a valid point as well - most of mine have been pancaked recently, too.

It's not just big buyers or buyers with a history of large purchases. I'm hearing about people getting their friends to order small quantities and those orders getting cancelled. I have no idea WTF they're thinking.

Ordered 30 10704s last night.  20 went through are are being shipped.  One was cancelled for credit card issue.  Bought another 10 this morning.  We will see what happens...

Considering you can still get them online, I guess a lot are afraid to pull the trigger.

Space is the issue here (and likely elsewhere). Certainly crazy value at $20, but between the space, and the future shipping cost - I just can't justify going too deep.

It's just an annual tradition.  These Classic Boxes always appreciate well.  Go figure.  You can buy a new one each year.

They are great gifts. I wish they shipped easier.  The shipping costs always killed the profit for me.

I stopped by Walmart at 11:30 today on my way to the in-laws. Picked up 3 of the large classic boxes 10704. Rang up $20 each. They had 3 large pallets full of them already sitting in the center isle of the toy section unwrapped and a sign stating $20.
Took one to the register and it rang up $20 so I said wait and I went back and grab 2 more.
