November 20, 20187 yr So opinion time: what’s the better deal - brick bank for $145.70 or brick bank with double VIP points and the three promo sets from this past weekend? Sent from my iPhone using Brickpicker Forum mobile appImmediate cashflow-wise: $145.70 from AMZ. Overall total value-wise: store purchase over the weekend, because you spent $170, got $15 back in VIP points and 3 promos which should bring you an easy $50-$75 in sale proceeds, bringing your total to ~$100 after tax.

Phil B is correct, but under normal circumstances (that being no special gift being offered or as we've recently seen "offers" that really aren't worth their weight), forcing Target to price match Amazon's 20 % discount and then using your Redcard to get 5% is the best option. Sometimes double points work out better than Amazon's sale, but that's the minimum you should expect. And I don't pay for gas anymore as I drive an EV ? Has there been in recent memory a LEGO promotion this lucrative?
November 20, 20187 yr Picked up 3 banks at Amazon. Enough for me. No more going 20 and 30 deep. Good price and I had zero. Plus 5% back in points.

Do you generally part these out or do you use them to build other things? Also that discount is only OK - not even the 20% you'd get from waiting till Black Friday.

Even if you didn't do in store which wasn't much better as the VIP doesn't net a ton anymore anyways. Probably last one that could rival was whatever it was with T1, T1 mini and a few other things thrown in. Basically got T1's down to 50 off. This by far if done right was about 75-90 in promotions depending on platform minus fees, double points and if in store another 15 or so. Plus depending on what you bought some stuff you could make on at retail. It was almost as if LEGO was paying us to buy. Edited November 20, 20187 yr by ravenb99

Stacked well with SW brickheadz/Microfighters that were on sale.
November 20, 20187 yr Did anyone else notice the limits on some LEGO sets on AMZ are up to 27? Normally they limit 2 or 3 per week, but I spot checked about a dozen smaller/medium size sets and was surprised to see the limits that much higher.
