November 2, 20187 yr So Amazon and Walmart are having a nice little price war. If this keeps up, they will both sell out of many sets well before Christmas. Could be a really interesting year for us.

Could be a really interesting year for us. The trick is to know which those sets will be and to load up on them now. I'm relatively new to this compared to what it seems like the rest of you guys are, so that's the toughest part for me right now. Hey, any pointers are appreciated! haha
November 2, 20187 yr If anyone missed the 60th Anniversary House I just noticed Google Express has a product page for one via Wal-Mart and it is able to be added to cart. Edit: Wal-Mart has it on their site also. Edited November 2, 20187 yr by MusiKyle

November 3, 20187 yr Just picked up a 40305 Lego Brand Store at my local Lego store (Troy, MI) for $25. I didn't think this was available in the US. It does not show up on the US Lego SAH site.

I picked up a few at the Lego Store in the Rockefeller Center when we were on vacation in New York this past August. The employee told me that they were only available at that particular store and also in Chicago. Apparently that is not the case. Cool little set though.

Now I get why you're saying that there is a reason for some of these dropping in price so much, but the question is still... which ones to buy to resell later (on ebay or wherever)? Buy some of the ones on that list that everybody is dumping assuming the price will jump back up when all the 3rd party sellers inventory is gone? Seems reasonable, but its hard to say which ones are dropping just because of this situation, no? Or am I missing something?

I was able to pick up 10 yesterday as they were going in and out of stock. I was hoping to pick up another 10 this weekend, but I guess not anymore!

Amazon always has free shipping as long as you hit $25 or 35, I forget how much exactly. Main reason I never got prime.
