The gift card deal is based on the total before red card, which is $51.xx in this scenario. Not everyone pays with red card, so it would be silly for Target to deny the gift card deal to those that do.

This is just a clearance price, the worker just put a shelf price tag instead of the red clearance shelf tag and the price sticker on the box.

I feel like target can't offer these types of promo's anymore without restrictions. They are very abusable and problematic for target as a corporation.
