Seriously, a completely separate thread for gift card chat would be great...

And the second we do that, we will have people say that they hate having to monitor two different threads for discounts.  Just blow past those posts if they are not good for you. As others have stated, 10% here, or 20% there adds up towards making a good deal.  It's worked for me plenty of times.

Sorry about that. Sadly though, more and more keeps getting pulled from affiliates.  Earlier this month, gift cards were no longer counted towards anything on eBay.

Members of the eBay Partner Network (ePN) will no longer receive affiliate revenue from the sale of eBay gift cards beginning Sunday, March 6, 2016. eBay informed affiliate publishers on Thursday of the new policy.

That sucks!

Hmm, the wording is similar to the fine prints of eBay Bucks promotion, ie. eBay gift cards (ie. gift cards created/released by eBay) are excluded, but other gift cards (TRU, Kohls, etc) sold by vendors (like giftcardmall) still can earn us eBay bucks.   Although this would not be the first time eBay meant something completely different than what they wrote.

I will be back in USA in April and I am trying to get a TRU GC at ebay.com

my ebay.com is registered with US address, my linked paypal account is also registered in US, per attached picture my IP address is in US... still I got the following error message:

Something went wrong. Please try to check out again.
Error Codes: 70245 70359 DOMESTIC_TRANSACTION_REQUIRED

any idea what it could be?

Call paypal.

Does this mean Frozen mania is over, at least until the second movie comes out?  It seems a bit early for a discount on these.

There is an open box UCS Tie Fighter on eBay for $159 shipped or 20% off. I can't create a link with my phone.

Was considering buying it but it went poof.

It's retiring. =p

Perhaps they've finally came to their senses that the set's overpriced to begin with.

Why not just buy a brand new one for $10 more?

I assume you're referring to the Walmart deal?  Most likely no tax on eBay, right now they are offering 8% eBay bucks, and discount gift cards makes for a better deal than the $160.

For many people without some sort of tax exemption certificate, the WM price ended up around $185 with tax.

The open box on eBay was $160 shipped, plus a potential $12.80 in eBay bucks.

Why not just buy a brand new one for $10 more?

The 'it doesn't apply to me, so why would anyone want it?' remark, whether intentional or not, is irritating.

Quick synopsis: Some people like to build their Lego as well as sell it. This deal allowed a person to build a tie at $159 shipped to you door or a buyer can use your method and buy a tie at $169 and pay up to 9.5% tax depending on your jurisdiction and pay an extra $26. Why not just throw the $25 out the window instead :)

Honestly, totally forgot about the WM deal.

Weak.. Need to keep stirring the pot. What he meant to say is u can get better deal with target eBay gc transferred into Tru gc from gc mall using 8% back ( who cares if it is targeted ). Then going to Tru and price adjusting ( not matching , huge difference people ) a screen shot of the eBay seller and yes they take eBay 3p because if they don't I'll make sure they do . Throw in there 8% rewards back, 20% off coupon and a chima freebie . Less than 100$ . Thanks op

My fault, I thought the open box was an Amazon deal.  Didnt realize it was ebay so no tax and ebuxs makes sense.
