Lego was excluded last couple of years from the 20% iirc

Not in December last year. Bought quite a bit of 50% clearance with an additional 20% off around Dec 10-15.

Cafe items? Can I get 20% off coffee and cookies?

Yes member discounts work at Starbucks there.
Best deal on espresso. Buy Lego, $1-2 off coupon prints at register. Buy coffee, member discount stacks with coupon. Recharge. Race to the next store.

Oh, I got one better. Buy LEGO at 20% off, get coupon for BOGO cookie, buy 1 cookie at 20% off and get the 2nd cookie free.

LEGO TLBM Sets are 30% off in store, so with this additional 20% that makes it 44% off, then add in the ubiquitous 10% off GCs on Raise.com, and you've got yourself 50% off. Up to you if that constitutes a deal though :)

Also, if this is still a thing, the same combo gives you 28% off on a Saturn V, or an Old Fishing Store.

Has anybody been able to get the 44% off for Lego?

20% wouldn’t work on Lego at the b&n I went to. Tried to pick up another dragon forge

The Barnes & Noble email and mail flyer do not specifically exclude Lego.  The email has "Standard Member exclusions apply", whatever that means.  If I recall correctly, the last time they had this promotion, it did not work but the clerk thought it should and called the manager.  He did an override for the additional discount.

FWIW, and as mentioned before, the last time this promo ran in December I had no issues checking out multiple times with different cashiers at 4 different B&N's in my area and getting the 20% each time.

Lego rang up as 10% for me too.... I was bummed and asked the cashier to review the email on my phone in case I missed something (I think that is the trick).

That pretty much forced her to realize it didn't specifically say "excludes Lego" and therefore she pretty much had to honor it, so she manually gave me 20%.

I then proceeded to pay for a bunch of Architecture with about (20) $10 GCs....???

And in typical TRU form right to the very end they say farewell by fat-fingering the math on the sales price.  $119.99 - 15% = $101.99, not 109.99.

I'm hesitant to bite on this - and maybe its just my personal opinion that the Winter Train Station was the weakest winter village set they've done - but I'm unsure how the value of this is going to compare to the other winter village sets in 2-3 years. I would only be purchasing a couple to put back.

This is 20% off - think it's worth buying 2-3 at this price? Seems like this set has had several recent sales which makes me wonder if it is unwanted.

Maybe I should buy two, along with using Google Express coupon (20% off) to get two Winter Village Trains and sell them as a bundle in a couple years....
