Never had an issue before.  I even tried buying a 99 cent item and it worked.  Tech support was useless.

yea at Christmas Target had buy 2 get one free video games, I bought all dimensions packs. I decided to return them and glad I did. I have been buying recently due to now everything is pretty much 50% off, I don't see it getting lower than that, I think they hit their true price, a lot of people sucking stuff up at the new discounts.

But it might be specific to my account. Looks like Paypal flagged my account this AM for unusual activity. I called and got that cleaned up but I'm still getting the error.

Had the same issue. Called PayPal. They asked security questions and removed a hold flag. They mentioned it will take couple hours to 24h to take effect

Same thing happened to me  I called Paypal to get that sorted out.  

Then I called eBay because I still couldn't check out (kept receiving some generic error message regardless of the items in my cart).  They had me follow these steps:

eBay -> Account settings -> Personal Information menu -> Financial Information -> Checkout saved payment options: click remove

That fix worked for me.  The rep said it was a pretty common issue she deals with.

I am still getting an error code. Did it take a while to fix it or did it fix it automatically?

Thanks, I tried following those steps but ended up back with the same error. Maybe the eBay CSR reset something on their end as well. Probably need to give them a call.

You're not alone

You need to clean your cache in your browser first and try again. If that still doesn't work, then it's an eBay error, which was reported on all gcs on ebay last week. The ebay rep told me to order the gc off ebay.com/au as a workaround. I had to do this to get the kmart gcs. But you will have to ask them to add the ebay bucks point manually which doesn't always happen...

i got checkout errors one time when i was over the limit a couple weeks ago. @exciter1 had posted that he was able to get 4, i kept getting errors when trying to check out with 4.

error was ebay/paypal would say the transaction couldn't be completed and i needed to verify my account via phone/text. tried that, nothing. called customer service and all that... they didn't know what the problem was, etc.

went back and just reduced quantity of GCs to 2 and was able to check out.

Thanks. Clearing my browser cache worked.  You are better than ebay phone support.

After following this procedure, I was successfully able to purchase a 4th and 5th Babies R Us gift card today.  That is on top of the 3 other TRU GC's purchased from PayPalDigital Gifts and 2 from Gift Card Mall.

So, 

It appears the limits are not being applied.  I did have to wade through PayPal verification issues.

And yet somehow my order from early yesterday morning is still listed as processing. I had just assumed they oversold and I would eventually get a cancellation notice. The fact it is still live is interesting.
