The Valentine's day set did the same thing, showing up recently with late-2017 codes. So they weren't left-overs, Lego decided to make more, it seems. Maybe they were worried people wouldn't like the brickheadz holiday sets and wanted to offer vignettes.

If you have 20% off coupons (and you should - they've been handing them out like candy) your price is $26 each before tax (35% off).
