How soon do you see your SYW rewards points show up, depending on whether your order is shipped or for store pick up?  I used to receive them a few minutes after the order is placed but now that is not the case.  

Example: I placed an order on Feb 27 and was supposed to receive 11K points.  Order was delivered Mar 2 and still have yet to receive the points.  I called SYW and the rep claims I will receive them on Mar 27.  She said it doesn't happen often but some point promotions are awarded on day 30 and that she had talked to several other people that had the same issue.

Example 2: Placed an order yesterday for store pickup and supposed to get 20K points.  Still haven't received the points yet but they may be b/c I won't receive them until after I pick up the order.

I can place more orders today and get 20K points but I don't want to unless I know I'm going to get the points.  Has the points program changed any within the last few months?

Points post once order has shipped +/- a day depending on how fast their system is updating.  For instore pickup I think they post after you pick up the order.  As you already stated, some promotions earn points between date 1 and 2 and are redeemable between dates 3 and 4.

No, not the same SD username.

I wouldn't use TRU Rewards on this deal on a Sunday unless you are also using shop runner. Orders will be cancelled and it is a pain to get your rewards back.

You can use TRU rewards.  Pseudoty is just giving a smart tip to not use rewards on these deals today.  Reason being is that a lot of people will place orders and a lot will probably get cancelled.  Then you will have to stay on TRU until they reissue your rewards.

I never use rewards online anymore. It only takes one bad transaction and never again .

The balance is usually refunded back to the card after 24 hours.  Just don't throw away the card immediately after use.

I guess I don't understand the motivation to post on SD though. If you're a member here, it seems like you'd want to keep the deal from hitting the masses?

I also don't see the need to post on SD.  Someone from there is bound to find out anyway ( they always do) and will post the deal at some point.  Therefore, there is no need for us to do it any earlier and invite a larger crowd to the party.
