Not seeing this. Have a 15% off which excludes LEGO. Weird.

I just received mine, so don't give up hope yet!

It worked on one WoN set making the total $20.54 shipped....

Target has a free hideous Christmas Tree (Creator 5004934) with qualifying $35 LEGO purchase.  Looks like "Qualifying" means select sets from the girls themes (Friends, Elves, Disney Princess).

You can also purchase that hideous Christmas Tree on target.com or Target's eBay store.

You mean "Free picture of a Christmas tree" set? That set is only the minifig and the presents, the tree is a print on the box. Talking about rip-off ....

Wow... times are tough at Lego headquarters. :/

There is no exclusive fig in that calender right ?

It doesn't look like it.  On second glance, the set looks really weak this year.  I am going to wait for at least 30% off.

Wow!  Didn't even notice that.  The detail item picture sure makes it look like you get the tree.  But definitely cardboard.  Weak.

The misleading part is the third or forth pic showing the fully built lego tree with rope lights as a model, not part of the box. I’d snag it in a second if you could build it.

Yes very misleading! I saw these at target a couple of weeks ago and almost bought some until I noticed that the box itself is part of the build.

Do the Calanders really increase in value much though?

You can make $10 or 15 on them by flipping them after thanksgiving into december.  It's kind of dicey since loads of others are doing the same thing.  Yet I keep doing it every year.

You are on the wrong forum for colanders.

A few years ago, when you could buy them in Oct/Nov for near 50% off (coupons, gc, points, etc).  it was easy money to flip them in Dec for 1.5-2x RRP.  But then LEGO caught on and started flooding the market, with additional runs hitting shelves in early Dec.  Add in the fact that they will likely not sell over RRP after that first christmas, and there is little upside.
