I agree with you that considering how unpopular this set is, that it will be available at this price or possibly better sometime in the next month or so.

that being said, I'm not sure how often UCS sets go to 40% off.  Even the recent Snowspeeder with coupon on Rakuten was about a 36% discount, and that wasn't by design.  At 30% I think we need to / should jump on it.

Smaller items like keychains, seasonal items, yes.

Larger sets, not very often, though the Classic Batcave is currently 25% off.

If we were to get another one, it'd be within the next 30 days...

The Big zoo and vampire hearse sale was a great day and there were some great pictures of people's porches or hauls. Star Wars sets have also been 50% off among other things

Yes. Intentionally 50% off, 75% off, and some obvious price errors. 40165 is still 50% off, assuming it's still in stock.
