Lol, I bought one too. It’s just the fact that such a new set gets discounted so early. Either way I really like the set so it’s cool even if it drops further.

 

I'd be happy to be proven wrong, but I don't  see BB-8 dropping that low anytime soon. He's the R2 of the new trilogy, the build is solid, the price per piece is good, and the price itself is almost a no brainier at full price (note  that it went out of stock at LEGO Shop at Home almost instantly on release). 36% off is pretty fair in my book, but I just buy for my own collection.

 

I hope I’m wrong. I bought one just for collection and not flipping. It’s just that normally these sets which gets discounted so early tend to drop more.

I just used this coupon to get a 75171 Battle on Scarif. For some reason, they took off this coupon and an additional 20% off one item, so the price before tax was $21.59.

Must've stacked the 40% coupon on top of the already 20% off price. Same thing happened for me. Spent over $50 but they were out of the Bricktober minifigures set. I asked them to substitute last week's City minifigures set and they did. Got 3 mini BB8 builds (myself, wife, and kid) and after a "scavenger hunt" there was a free Lego poster, so got 3 of those. Spend over $30 and get an R3-M2 minifigure or the 40228 TRU Geoffrey.

Hey did this happen to anybody? I ordered 2 of the Lego Batman Movie Copacks 66546 on Walmart the other day, received them today, and then, they sent me a refund for the full amount. This is really strange. Also, my Toys R Us seems to be ordering the Star Wars Lego sets that are 40% off and giving away the Kai Battle Pod instead of the R3-M2.

For those of you who found the sets covered by the 40% off coupon OOS, you might have luck if you go to the customer service desk in the store and ask to have the sets ordered.  To my surprise, my wife was at our local store and said the CS rep ordered us the OOS sets we wanted (at the current discount prices, stacked with the 40%), to be shipped to our house.  Also got 2 of the free R3-M2s and a Bricktober pack.  Could very well be a YMMV situation, but that I should pass it along in case you want to try.

Noticed the same in South Florida. Then I thought... that is 20% off... I would buy at 40% w/o thinking too much... at 30% off I would be on the fence... maybe 30% off will be later in November?

I agree with you that considering how unpopular this set is, that it will be available at this price or possibly better sometime in the next month or so.

that being said, I'm not sure how often UCS sets go to 40% off.  Even the recent Snowspeeder with coupon on Rakuten was about a 36% discount, and that wasn't by design.  At 30% I think we need to / should jump on it.

Theres stacking B2G1 discounts right now; one on Dimensions, one on Video Games. They both are currently applying online.
