Yeah I got it. Never used promotional listings though. As a buyer though, I don't pay more attention to them so I don't know how well they work. Off topic but figured I would give my two cents.

Shady?

I kind of doubt it. The seller's feedback is "100% positive in the last 12 months (2665 ratings)."

MSRP was $59.99, and I remember purchasing this set for around $47 back in 2015.

looks legit with his feedback and its fba ,but why sell your stock for only $100 each when the next lowest seller is over double that.

Looks like it's going in and out of stock. F5ing for a bit might work if someone really wants one.

need to move volume. @ $200+ it only sells about 1unit/day. if one has to move 100 units then its going to take over 4 months.

one can probably move that 100 units easily at $100.

Everyone loves a (perceived) bargain.

Perceived or not. I missed this one and would have liked to get one at that price for my wife.
Carry on.

I ordered some of the $100 Farnsworth sets, but the order was canceled. I didn't get a cancellation email or get notified or anything. The seller still has them listed but at $221 now. Anyone know what happened?

my guess is a pricing error and seller reached out to amazon to cancel the order(s)

I am not sure if its a sign of improving economy, if retailers have decided they don't like being the source of resellers inventory, or they just decided it was unprofitable, but the Non-Walmart retailers are all moving slower this summer than in previous summers. B&N only at 30%, Target has most stuff lingering at 30% (and most of the LEGO is moving at that price), Even K-Mart has delayed their normal 75% off Clearance by having 60% off for a couple weeks. I will be very interested to see what happens with Winter clearance this year.

It's cool and all, but since when does Amazon cancel an order and not send an email? Maybe it just hasn't come through yet.

I hear ya but they only had 10 at the time showing in stock. (though they could've had even more and not sent them in yet) looks like it was an error as others are reporting cancelled.

Barnes and noble is offering a $10 gift card for every $50 spent on merchandise. Not a bad deal if you shop there often.
