OK, this is the first time I've come across this:  The seller does not have their feedback shown.  Is that something you can choose to hide?  If so, why as it seems sketchy.  Is it really PayPal themselves or a 3rd party person using their PayPal in their name?

It's eBay/PayPal that's selling these.

Ah, I see if you hover over their name it shows feedback.  Just a weird setup I have not seen before (never purchased GCs from eBay before) as all my trans have been with actual third party sellers.  Thanks!

Are there any best practices with these? Like copy the barcode somewhere in a spreadsheet? Or do you guys just let these sit in your email until you need to use them?

Thanks!

I print them out and also save PDF.  Once I use it, they take the paper anyways at store.

Best practice is to print them out and use them in store if possible. If you use them online and the order gets cancelled, getting your money back can be quite arduous.

The cardpool app lets you enter arbitrary gift cards into a "wallet", shows a scanable barcode, and has balance refresh built-in.  So, even if you don't buy your giftcards through them, it's a good way to organize the ones you have.  Just in case, I typically screenshot the cards once entered (with the barcode and PIN visible) so I can get to them if I have login issues.

Sounds like a good blog post for the site here.  But here are my best practices:

  1. Never use them online.  Only in store.
  2. As soon as they come in to your email, put the GC # and the PIN into a spreadsheet
  3. Add my GC to Apple Wallet (because I'm iOS on my phone), if possible.
  4. Screen shot the email (usually has a barcode and PIN) and save it to a photo album on my phone

Good practice is to print out, as others have suggested.

Just last week, I was auditing my records, and discovered that I was doing really bad GC management.  I found two different transactions where I didn't get all my emails.  I got 4 out of 5 from Oct 2016, and 2 out of 3 from Aug 2016.  I called PayPal and told them the problem, and they were able to easily send me the full compliment of emails.

For anyone with a Fry's Electronics close by, the TIE Strikers are $42.13.  In-store pickup only.

Also available through Google Express if you have a coupon.

Is this new?

I hadn't seen this ad or heard about it before.

Not better than discounted GCs, but safer if you're nervous about them.

Free $25 and eventually ($7500 later) free membership. Doesn't mention an annual fee.
