Problem with B&N around here is the only one close is in WA and their 9% sales tax!  Kinda destroys the entire 10% off rebate.

Hmm sounds like Oregon people problems ?

You mean my spouse, haha.  She enjoys it (tedious monotonous tasks that is), but it will take the weekend.  I won't inventory until it is sorted, so there really isn't a time crunch.  The sooner it is uploaded though, the sooner sales can occur.

Not much Star Wars at the price point I wanted at the Kroger I visited, but plenty of stuff priced for parts.

Technically, there aren't "Krogers" anywhere.

Oh so are you now "that guy" too? I thought I had claimed that title just a few days ago...

FWIW, Kroger Marketplaces in the greater Cincy area are still at 20% off.

The 25% was special only because it included Architecture, and B&N stocks retired Architecture sets. They had a 30% off LEGO sale for most of Jan/Feb before that (+10% for members) which included quite a number of sets (I was eyeing Fortrexes for $69.99 pre-member-discount), but no Architecture.

You never know what hits the clearance table. B&N tends to have sets in the back that they don't have out on the shelves (at least in my area) - the 21118 MC The Mine sets I got last year were never put out on shelf, they went straight to the clearance table. Also, my B&Ns tend to have one of each set on the shelf, but might have a ton extra stock in the back. So what and how much will hit 50% clearance is really a gamble at this point.

I went out the last day of the and grabbed imperial hotels, white houses and villa saves for 32.5% since I was a member. Although the villa savoyes weren't in good shape, but considering they're retired, it was worth it.

I am always bothered by their way of marking promotions. For the past 25% sale, they slapped a big brown dot with 25% off in it on the box. For the clearance sale, I get it, as the price will only go down till they are sold so basically no re-instock. But for the once a while sale, are they gonna peel off the sticker on each and every single box after the sale ends? ?

Oh man just looked and there is a kroger marketplace "only" 50minutes away from where I live.   Guess for my sanity I should call before going huh?

Even though they just had that massive 25% (+ extra 10% off for members) sale last week?

I went today and still got the 25% off plus 10% member discount. On the lego caterham 7.  I pay 58.13 with tax after the discounts.  They have one 21022 Lincoln memorial is that a good buy at retail price. ?

Krogers are mostly a southeastern thang.

I'm skipping anymore B&N sales, but usually walmarts 50% off kicks off soon.  Last year it was in early may, while the year before it was early august.  So....who knows when it will be this year, but usually it's good.  I can foresee lots of Clone Turbo Tanks, Rex's AT-TE's, Kylo Ren Command Shuttles, Falcons, x-wings, Takodanas, and jakku sets, and perhaps batman movie sets in this years round.

It's like calling "Western Sizzlin" a "Sizzler".

Do those still exist?

My Kroger marked stuff down yesterday, so I missed the big sets, but still got Morro Dragons, Tiger Island, Wu Dragon, Ronin Rex and Jestro Mobile for $15 each and some other misc stuff. Mainly for B-Day presents but some will sell ok I think.
