If your state collects sales tax and TRU have a presence (store, office, or warehouse) in your state, then you still pay sales tax

There are lots of Retired sets available at multiple retailers below MSRP. TRU has over 999 Droid Escape and they still haven't gotten rid of their clearance Sith Infiltrators or RTT. BN has over 1400 Flatiron left last I looked not to mention you can get them for $28 on BL. I don't want to say the "B" word but if you look at a Bell curve we are definitely approaching +2. Unless LEGO decreases the number of sets produced per year or you are lucky enough to only pick short run sets I do not see much of a chance for recovery. But to be fair, this same talk occurred last year, and the MTT also took a while after it retired to clear out. Once it did, then it rose in value. The Palaptines Arrest had the same effect. Droid escape is the wrong set to plug, because that's like the old landspeeder from years back. For some reason those tattoine droid based sets take a while to move. But, other similar sets like Hoth Attack, which everyone bagged is appreciating, and obi-wans interceptor which was a clone of anakins is also appreciating. Also, in the architecture world, the White House and Lincoln Memorial are seeing great initial growth far surpassing last years sets. DC based sets are obviously better than NYC based sets in demand, because the White House had the longest lifespan of architecture sets. The Lincoln Memorial one of the shortest. Soo... I'm still not sold on this bubble. I do agree though that there are many that don't analyze the market and buy too much of the wrong sets or themes. Nexo Knights? Come on... did they not learn from previous themes like Ultra Agents, Galaxy Squad, Chima etc?

To me it's pretty simple, next October/November some parent types "Lego Santa" into Amazon, this is the first thing that's going to pop up. Good piece count for $5 too.
