February 24, 20178 yr As a rule of thumb, the sets that are older and/or retired are the ones you should aim for. At this time, the market is in love with the Trevi Fountain and the White House. The 21022 Lincoln Memorial is also currently surging and reasonably doing well. With regards to newer sets, there's never a wrong answer if you like how the set looks. Personally, a US Capitol at 35% is worth buying. In the future, it will be likely discounted to potentially 50% when it closes to retirement in the next few years and further but it's your call.Thank you for the reply! Ended up going to 3 other B&N and they all included the Architecture sets at 35% off with membership.

February 24, 20178 yr No go at my local B&N on architecture sets. I even brought up that they're on sale online, but they wouldn't offer the 25%. They have 5 trevinfountains, 2 white houses and 1 imperial hotel. Would have been a nice run...

If they show the sale price when you reserve them they should ring up at that price when you pick them up. It's strange how some stores they ring up with no issues while at other stores they fight it. It's a national sale. It should be the same at all locations. My two stores everything rang up at the sale price with no issues. I picked up 5 more White Houses and 2 more Capitol Buildings today. I've reserved 4 more Capitols for tomorrow. Online sale price when I reserve is what they have been ringing up at.

There's a certain ebayer...that's been consistently selling them for 175 to 180 since November last year from the Florida area. At least 20 to 30 sold by now. Can't imagine how many he/she bought. I purchased a large quantity from the cali store. QFLd some and holding the others. I should have bought many more looking back on it. Definitely something to keep in mind if investing in this one. Who knows how many other sellers picked up large quantities at 100. Only the two lego disney stores had this sale, so it might not be too bad. Emphasize the word might.

It was the LEGO Stores at Downtown Disney in Anaheim and Disney Springs at Walt Disney World. They were $100 each for awhile.
