has anyone noticed that Target has begun to mark up some of its Lego over MSRP?  I just noticed the Poe XWing polybag for $4.69.

Yes. Around the same time I found that Poe polybag for ~ $6.49 (before sales tax) at one Target I found them form barely over $3 at a different one in town (and grabbed all of them).

They still have 20% off all Technic, City and something-else. Also a free City ATV with purchases over $50. Tomorrow starts a 20% off coupon for any 1 item - see the TRUTH thread.

My store just got the chicken suit guy in stock...limit 1 per customer. I sweet talked the lady into letting me have 2.

Also found out the new Batman vs Superman Batmobile polybag got pulled from the shelf and wont be available till Sunday.

I've seen this.  On the Mos Eisley Cantina set last summer I saw the set at $70 at my local target.  $77 at a target near my job.  It also was marked down online I think for $57.

I've noticed the markup on larger sets.  Worst case I order online and do a store pickup if the online price is cheapest.

Where is the TRUTH thread?  I can't find it.

In my experience (based on roughly 10 Targets in Chicago that I am familiar with), certain Targets are considered "City Targets" and mark up prices 10-15% higher (some even higher, depending on the product). City Targets are exactly that - they are Targets located in very densely populated or commercial areas with lots of traffic. Other Targets, even though they are still in the metropolitan area, don't fall under this model and have normal pricing. Oddly, City Targets also send out their own seperate ad with the newspaper in addition to the normal Target ad. There's nothing special about the ad except it is shorter in length and smaller in size.

This worked for me, no email, no nothing.

1 time or repeatable?

One time physical coupon, but there is a "mobilified" version in the thread for which YMMV

One near me has raised the price on cmfs to $4.98 or so. Terrible because there are quite a few cases of series 12 and 13 there.

In other news, I did see poe's polybag at meijer in the same area of some Easter stuff. I think it was $3.99 or around that price.

Tried it on a $100 Toys R Us gift card thru Paypal Digital Gifts... NOPE. Won't work (least not for me).

I picked up a Wall-E and a New York City to build from a seller for $83 (probably the one who exciter got the Ectos from).  Thanks for the heads up!

This deal is now on the ebay main page so it is open to everyone but it does take some work to find the right deal and is easily used for buying other categories as gifts, etc.

Anyone have any luck getting this through on a gift card purchase?  eBay exluded.  Seems to be shooting me down on BRU, TRU, Target from all the usual suspects (PP Digital Gifts, Gift Card Mall, Cardency)
