Shelf price $64.98 -20% SW Promo = $51.98 -20% clearance coupon = $42.58 - $10 GC $32.58

Scanned price: $74.98 -20% SW Promo = $59.98 -20% clearance coupon = $47.98 - $10 GC = $37.98

So, I took the shelf label to the register to get an adjustment (at an employees advice). Scans at $74.98, guy does an adjustment to make it $51.98. I hand him my coupon for the additional 20%, and he says they cannot accept it as it does not stack with any other promotion. I ask him to just scan it: Nope. Ask him to void it so I can just use the coupon with the $59.98 scanning price, and he wouldn't do it.

What I paid:

$64.98 -20% SW = $51.98 - $10 GC = $46 each. Hurts knowing I could have saved an extra $20.

Said it once and I'll say it again, screw you Toys R Us.

You got the set for 38.00.  This set will be over a 100 by next year...  come on..

No. I paid $94 for both. $47 each, while not bad, its not the $34 people have been able to get with the coupon.

My TRU never got the restock and of JW or Scooby Doo.

Also bought some Droid Escapes, but not at TRU.

You got really lucky. I don't think I have ever seen a Droid Escape at my Kmart's. That set is gold with your buy- ins.

Hi all, I'm new to collecting legos. How long can we expect the sale at toys r us for star wars legos to last? Someone mentioned this sale seems to be happening annually.

Hi Phillip. The 20% off SW sets at TRU runs until the 2/25. TRU will have different themes on sale on a semi-regular basis and SW seems to pop up every few months. You should always check Brickset or Lego.shop for msrp because TRU tends to price their sets higher than retail which negates part of the actual savings.

Agreed. I just ended some listings of mine that weren't moving so I'll relist them again in a bit.  Maybe a bit lower prices but hey, it might just sell.

Recently, they've suffered from over packing, like S@H and Amazon.  Shove as much pillows or paper in there and then squeeze the box to where it's bulging from packing and then tape 'er shut.  Contents still arrived crinkled and smooshed, after pressure is put on the outer box.

On the plus side, more packing materials for us to re-use!

Sounds like they did a 'price match' instead of a 'price adjustment'.  Regardless of what button the cashier told/tells you they hit, that is what happened.  I've had this happen and told them to do it again and make sure to hit the price adjustment button.  I've even had to explain the difference and tell them why it is a price adjustment vs. price match.  Then your coupon will stack.
