[ but i doubt it based on the stuffs these stores are getting ] considering lego themselves cleared them for 5,99 .... 0,99 doesn't look bad at all if i see another 2 waves of these and i would be seriously considering complete re-vamp of what i am doing. { only stuff remaining so far is dr. who series , back to the future & super hero line. lets see if they appear. if they do then all i can say is its real real bad. } Edited January 27, 20178 yr by newbie77

I'm still a buyer of team and level packs for .99 cents. that's under .02 cents a piece.

[ if i can get 0.02 cents/piece so why would i pay 0,10 for the parts which is what will be for the larger sets no ? ]

January 27, 20178 yr In Defense of .99, aren't LD sets categorized as electronics and not toys? If we treat them as DLC for a videogame, a .99 sale for old digital content makes a lot of sense.

January 27, 20178 yr Ha. Then I should probably add it was pretty much just Morro Dragons, Nexo Artillery, Nexo Chariot, and Nexo Mecha Horse left. That store that shall not be named serves about 10% of the US population, if that and Amazon serves 99.9% minus banned people. All deals are great, all deals that are open to everyone are better. Alternative facts may have been used in this post.
January 27, 20178 yr Does anyone else suspect these 99cent deals could be a flood of counterfeit? The Chinese have gotten very bold in their blatant disregard of the rest of the worlds intellectual property rights.

Thus tons of oversupply. I'm guessing Lego gave them to the .99 store to offload there massive oversupply while saving face on Lego.com Edited January 27, 20178 yr by landphieran

None of the knock-offs have been 100% clone to include the boxes. 16 minutes ago, landphieran said: No, dimensions are not as popular as the executives hoped. Thus tons of oversupply. I think it's more likely these are liquidated units from another retail outlet.

I don't know if that will be the case. I talked with the manager and asked if this is going to be an ongoing thing and he said he didn't think so. I'm not sure if this is going to be the norm. I know that Lego has a huge overstock of these so they're trying to get rid of them, but I think these are gonna dwindled down overtime. I don't think buying Lego at the $.99 store will be a regular thing. As far as I know they've never sold Legos at the $.99 store.
January 27, 20178 yr There's no conspiracy and no "alternative bricks" being sold at the 99 Cent Stores. LolThese stores are just like 5 Below, Tuesday Morning, Big Lots, Dollar Tree etc. They get ligit remainders all the time. Just check the pics of the sealed LEGO cases that people have been posting. And don't kid yourself for a minute. If these were fakes sold in official packaging, LEGO would have shut this down on day one.

What do you think about the Scooby packs? I bought a bunch of sealed boxes but I'm not sure if I should get some more. Not sure about the future of these things and maybe selling some at Christmas time or something. Then again though, I don't want to hold onto these for close to a year.

Or they'll wish they had bought more. I'd guess the latter. I have bought 230 Homers in the last 3 days. I have sold 40 of them in the last day. I have a buyer in the UK who wants to buy 100 of them. And I sell at toy shows where the figs will sell quickly if priced at $3 - $4. Maybe it will take me two years to sell them all, but what are the other Lego investments that will double or triple my money in two years?
