Thanks - My TRU wouldn't PM it so I had to let 8 of them sit on the shelf   One mint set left at Fry's + an old GC worked well.

With Kmart its not always about the lowest price. Their coupons, points and SP offers easily take an additional 20-70% off their sale prices. As long as its 25% off+ at Kmart, it can easily be acquired for 50% off or more with basic coupons and SP offers. I'm actually surprised that they matched anyones price with this. They usually do their own thing.

Yeah I think I got lucky with TRU price matching Frys, Target wouldn't do it either.

I think it worked because I have a TRUs and Frys within 10 miles of each other.

The 15% off a single toy coupon does work with it even though its a hot buy. Just grabbed another one for $15.70 shipped after the coupon (-$4.05) and $8 in points.

No other coupons work. If you have the $7 off $25 SP offer that's an instant 50% off before any other points.

EDIT: POOF! Its gone. Good while it lasted. I managed to get 3 at an average of $15.25 shipped and after tax.

I tried Target while I was at TRU today - nada.  Best at the time was sixty-something at WM.  Back to TRU tomorrow, I hope I get the same clerk.  40% off retired SW is ok.  They'll go on the pile of them I got at 50% during WM summer clearance.

Hard to say. It does have The Princess, but she's in the next movie, so I'm sure she'll be in more sets this year. Depends on the ship really, not the minifigs so much, though it has a nice selection.

I don't see this set doing well, to be honest. The ship is rather boring, there aren't many figures, and of the ones that are there, only Leia is really worthwhile. Ackbar is okay but I'd say folks generally want the ROTJ version. We'll definitely see another Leia in Ep 8 sets, and if they ever rerelease this exact Leia, this set will really tank.

Yeah, since I don't have Max and didn't want to buy 3 of these I just let it slide.  Having junk coupons/points offers didn't help either.

I think Moana is just not a great IP for Lego.

The majority of the movie takes place on a very lightly constructed raft, the main antagonists are so incredibly large or way too small that you can't really do them in Lego.

Imagine a $399 UCS Lava creature or Giant Singing Crab. How well would that sell?  

The pirate coconut creatures are basically 1x1 spheres with no arms or legs in lego form.

It's just not a great fit the way princesses with castles are.
