Except that Nigerian prince I correspond with through email. He assures me my sets are on the way. I can't help but trust him, he's royalty.

I hear that.  It's just... why did he need my social security number to put the order through?  I can't remember LEGO Shop at Home ever asking me for that.  Maybe in Nigeria, your SS# doubles as your VIP #.

In college, 20+ years ago now (damn I'm old), your SS# was your student ID number. They'd post test scores listed by ID number right outside the lecture hall. No shite. I vividly remember trying to make some rhyme/reason out of other SS#s (like which digits described when you were born and where).

I guess the secondary market for SS#s wasn't "mature" back then.

My school tried that as well, I told them f no and yelled loudly enough that they made an exception for me. Georgia used to use SS numbers as your drivers license number as well. They stopped in the early 90's.

A tidbit of info that may be useful to some: The B&N 30% off Select LEGO Sale is going on until the end of January, so I have been told.

Also, I will add if you go into an B&N, look for stickers on the boxes that say 30% off because you'll find another sticker on the same box that says members have an additional 10% off the item too.

Is this in store only or does it also apply to online? I tried a few sets and the code did not work.

Thanks in advance, Paul

Tis not a true code but a sale on only certain select sets.  It applies online to the ests you can find on their site. However, in store, there may be more options depending on your store.

Thanks for the quick reply! I will sift through the set :)

I believe someone listed a few set that were discounted earlier in this thread now that I think about it.....

mistake

I found a few hidden gems at BooksAMillion today (if yours isn't already cleaned out from the holiday sales). At my store, some of their older sets are not marked, but scanning at 50% off.  Add on the current 20% off for members coupon, and I got a Pirates Shipwreck Defense for $5.60, A Deep Sea Starter Set for $4.40, Space Utility Shuttle for $10.80, 2 x Snowplows for $8.80... also decided to pull the trigger on a few Lincoln Memorials they had at 20% off ($23.99 ea).

I just saw a sponsored ad in Facebook for this site freewars.net:
https://freewars.net/collections/star-wars/products/star-wars-dewback-storm-trooper-kit
They purport to have the Ep VII Falcon for $68 and a handful of other Lego sets. Site seems underdeveloped, there's no return policy stated, however they accept payment through PayPal so presumably a purchase would be protected.
I don't know - too good to be true?

When the listing is $0. I wouldn't trust it.

TRU now has holiday train (10254) up for RRP with limit of 5.  not sure if this post is a deal or a warning but thought it was interesting...
