Just saying that the lego ninjago temple was 25% off at some point but I thought since it was 25% it would most likely go a little higher, but I was wrong.

Don't forget that the price Ebay reports in the sold Listings screen is not necessarily the actual selling price - it migh be the current listing price if the seller had multiple items in the same listing and raised the price after one (or more) sold.

Yes. I thought it might go a bit lower also.......Time will tell I guess.

Sort by price+shipping low to high.  I'm assuming at least some customers can look past the first few "best match" results.

When I search sold listings I pay attention to the recently sold prices. I gauge my prices there.

Lego 70594 has just went for 39% for a minute or two and went sold out right away, I missed it by a very small margin.

Ninjago 70591 has been 42% off, so if I were you I would grab it since it is move likely going to go sold out.

I'm scared of this one (Friends Livi's Pop Star house). At $40 its only $10 below retail and was released in 2016. As someone else pointed out it is a house (when most sets in the line are shops). Could it be that the other few larger house are sold out so parents are clamoring for this one... since it is a cheaper alternative than the harder to find larger houses (and probably much higher price now). I have very little experience with Friends. There was a purple/lavender house that seemed to be a good seller (and much nicer looking than this Pop Star house... but of course its probably harder to find in stock, was larger and an older set). I'm expecting this Pop Star house to only be popular for a few days... until Christmas is over.. or until people realize that the demand has dropped. If ordered now one wouldn't be able to sell it until after the Christmas holiday (after it arrives in the mail. I'm definitely still learning... but I'm nervous about this one. 

I think there are 4 reasons driving some of this demand for Livi's Popstar house:

1. As someone mentioned, it's only been around for a year, so supply is more constrained than other Friends' houses (e.g., Olivia and Emma)

2. The design of this house is very unique and non-traditional to other Friends' buildings (e.g., Olivia's House, Emma's House, Grand Hotel, etc)

3. It's really the only building of note in the Popstar sub theme

4. It has some cool pieces, particular some colorful translucent pieces

Plus, it was selling for $70-95 until Friday midnight last week until, inexplicably some sellers started showing up with listings for $45-60 first thing Saturday morning.

It may have some legs to it. It may not. But as father of a young daughter, I had my eye on this one 6 weeks ago when I saw that Target was selling it for $30 on Black Friday. Unfortunately, I missed out both in store and online, and I waited too long for better than $40 sale on it until realizing last week that it was all gone. I'm sure I'm not the only dad (or mom) on this boat...

Only the certain Lego stores had that 50% discount. I know the downtown Disney location in Orlando and the Legoland location in Carlsbad had that price . The free at was something different but a large set in the $50 range sitting another promo before that 50% discount.
