December 11, 20169 yr The math didn't work out quite as well at bam for me, they did the 20% off first, then the second at half price. Was still able to wipe out all the retired architectural sets they had left.

Kids have Secret Santa this afternoon at the dance school, so it will be great to pick up some presents at Target and use the coupon. However, I also want to get my daughter some Christmas presents and I bet I would pass the $25 off $100 treshold that way - just cannot have her there when I purchase. What to do, what to do ..... I'm sorry. I can relate. My son is always with me. He's rarely at his mom's. I've had to scout out online deals because I can't buy in front of him. Can you mention what great presents they would be for... Pretend they are presents for a friend or someone else? Pretend to pick them up for someone else? Good luck.

December 11, 20169 yr Is the SW advent worth it to include with this Target deal? I found one in store.

SW Advent is one of the better Advent calendars .. so for a personal build I'd say yes. I think the reseller fairy tale for Advent calendars is sort of over, unless LEGO decides to ramp down production next year due to the glut of calendars available this year. I think that's unlikely, as they seemed to have produced right around the correct amount (meaning, they are not over-abundant in retail stores now, but people were able to buy most of them until late Nov/early Dec quite easily via the normal retail channels).

December 11, 20169 yr Looks like target fixed all prices...I do not know what to do whole day, planned to buy LEGO all day long...nvm, was a glitch???..prices back again...

To echo this sentiment, if anyone missed the 30%-50% clearance sales for Marvel Super Hero set this past summer or were not fortunate enough to find any where they live like me, Target has the Super Hero Airport Battle 76051 set on sale. It meets the spend $50, get $10 off deal and combined with the red card savings it might be a good deal for those who do not have one for PB or investment. http://www.target.com/p/lego-super-heroes-airport-battle-76051/-/A-49136286

Lots of good figs in the airport battle.

City>Super Heroes Bionicles>Superheroes Basically every theme performs better than Superheroes. Throw Ant-Man out and you have a whole lot of crap.

You can most likely break even or profit just from the figs. That is where the value is. Nobody wants city figs.

You sell the figs and you're left with some stupid jet or jeep with a bunch of stickers on it. You also have to compete with $4.50 Dimensions packs with lots of the main hero figs and numerous counterfeits. It's just not worth the 15 minutes to part out and ship each set for me.

Nobody wants city figs. yep - breaking even sounds about right. you know the theme is a loser when target is still selling their exclusive Superman brainiac set 76040 that retired a year ago. i can't even sell the stupid Superman Black Zero escape that i bought for 50% off MSRP now 2 years later. i sold 2 in 6 months on amazon with the lowest price of $17.99. i'll leave the easy big money in SH to all the minifigure parter outers.
