Make your own deal time at Meijer.

- 20% off total LEGO SW purchase coupon (valid until 12/7, so doesn't overlap with Santa Bucks unfortunately)

- Santa Bucks this weekend (Thursday - Sunday), including $3 off one item of $14.99+, $5 off one item$24.99+, $10 off one item of $49.99+ and $20 off one item of $99.99+

(also: 10% off total LEGO Disney Princess purchase)

Santa Bucks can be used multiple times, but don't combine on the same item.

The AT-ST walker set would be about $27 plus tax if its at retail (and if my math is correct). Tempting. Thank you for sharing. I hadn't noticed the Santa Bucks yet.

Ugh.  LotR is the kiss of death.  Give me Simpsons Lego Chess, or heck Chima Chess over LotR any day of the week.

LOTR = Lord of the Rings? Were they negative sellers or negative for investors? I'm new here and honestly absolutely loved the theme (being a childhood castle fan... LOTR pushed me over the edge back into collecting LEGO).

I think the theme as a whole was a mixed bag and divided a lot of AFOL.  However, even if the sets sometimes were seemingly half finished (Helm's Deep comes to mind), they did introduce a lot of advanced building techniques and detail to the otherwise childish Castle sets of recent years (Kingdoms Joust, Medieval Market Village, Mill Village Raid being the exceptions).  LotR also got me into Lego collecting as an adult.  But the sets have been mostly duds on the aftermarket probably because there are no movies pushing the theme at this time.

Unexpected Gathering is dropping too.

Darn. I have one (Unexpected Gathering) that I was holding onto to resell in the new future. I thought it would be in high demand in the future. Of course factors such as numbers sold and produced and the number of investors that hoarded it factor in as well. Sorry. Didn't mean to get us off topic.

Not sure how you get to $27 plus tax. AT-ST is $39.99 in store. 20% off SW ends today, Santa Bucks don't start until tomorrow, so they don't combine. So it's either $31.99 today using the 20% off, or $34.99 tomorrow using the Santa bucks $5 off $24.99 coupon (or slightly more off if you combine it with a $10+ set and spread the $10 off $49.99 coupon over the sets).

Nice of them to put it back down to rrp. :mda:

Agree.  Looks like they are the last hold out as far as shipping stock is concerned though.

not sure if anyone saw....but Disney Store has 25% off a purchase of 100 dollars or more, and if you still have your GILT 20% off coupon....adds up to about 40% off total.....

Thanks for the reminder.  Too bad they don't work on Disney Castle!

I've set Max Profit to ignore (not because it wasn't useful, but because it was messing up the way I read the site) but cannot use "Show this post" to temporarily see what is reported by him (bug?), so there's a risk you all know this already:

60051 - High Speed Train - $83.99 (44% off) - Amazon

Thanks for link. Because of whining wankers, Jeff slowed the updates down to every 3 hours now, so I am sure that will be in the next Max Profit update. Maybe in the future we can set how often we want it updated. I find more value in those than I do most other stuff.  Overall still be thread on the site (or Star Wars threads!). Watching the trends of deals go up and down have been interesting to me.  One day there are 140+ deals, then it does down 20.  It is a good way to see what Amazon is up to.

Why is it a bug if you ignore the posts.  If you don't want to see them, you don't see them.

Yes it is every three hours now. Sure its less effective to be on top of sales, but it was ruining some people's lives.

You might want to combine your Santa Bucks with this promo: BOGO40% on City, Friends and Super Heroes

Screenshot from 2016-12-07 11-00-24.png

For example, getting a large >$100 set would allow you to use the $20 off coupon, then get a second set for equal price or less at 40% off, then use the $10 off coupon. I'm pretty sure the coupons apply on the value BEFORE 40% off, so assuming you buy a $100 set you'd pay $160-$10-$20 = $130 for $200 in value (35% off).

We need that BOGO 40% off to kick in NOW!
