I was specifically targeting Joker's Lowrider. $50 RRP, so (50*.85)(.9)(.8). I wasn't looking at the 20% theme discounts, just the 15% coupon, 10% TRUTH/TRUST, and 20% GC. That's actually 39%.

Now I'm doing math in my head with a couple drinks in me, but I think Joseph's math checks out if you're patient enough to wait for the inevitable 20% theme discount. With that said I wonder how many are buying to build versus flip at the quicker 39%.. I doubt we'll see much better other than wally/ target clearances that make it far enough. pour me another one, Sam. I think.

December 5, 20169 yr It's so interesting seeing large exclusives discounted again on Amazon. Prices obviously don't fluctuate like they used to, but it's nice to see them discounted for more than an hour here or there. 2 minutes ago, Huskers1236 said: You think they go lower than this? I already have a few from the make your own sale days.

This is a hard 300 to spend for me not knowing how much longer this will stay in stock EOL. For personal build I would buy though. Edited December 5, 20169 yr by LegoBro

My son is the one that really wants me to buy one. It's one of those sets that I don't really love but know I'll kick myself if I don't buy it and it ends up being $600.

I predict it'll still be around for awhile longer since it was in the most recent LEGO US Catalog. It's not really a play set though in my experience. Hell of a display piece though.
December 5, 20169 yr I don't know that I would trust the catalogs too much for retirement info. People have been trying to decipher that code for awhile and I don't think there is much rhyme or reason to what gets featured when it comes to retirements.
December 5, 20169 yr Another thing to keep in mind with the hellicarrier or any other large exclusive IMO through Amazon, is don't expect a mint condition box if purchasing for investment purposes AND this is a large box. It's has pretty much been hit or miss on box quality for me. Edited December 5, 20169 yr by LegoBro
