Nope .. new seal codes have been confirmed (06R6), likely going to shop up in many stores soon, but for now it is difficult to get at many retailers (Target hasn't had them since forever, Walmart is very spotty, Amazon comes & goes, only KMart (inflated price) and TRU seem to have them for now).

The horde thinks that it's pegged for early retirement even though there's been no indication of that really happening. When in fact, their horde mentality will cause Lego to make tons more and flood the market a la Jurassic World.

Of all the new Star Wars sets, this one sucks the least? Kidding. It's actually a really good set and some of the others aren't half bad. It has been very hard to find at most retailers, rarely discounted, in high demand, and it's an X wing.

Also, there's another X-wing color variant coming out this summer, so one thought is maybe the Poe's version is going to be a short production run and possibly harder to find, so therefore more valuable in the future. Call it the "Raptor Escape"'set phenomenon.

Probably most important factor is the TOOS status has allowed some shrewd LEGO sellers to capitalize and flip these on Amazon for $125 to $150. Now a bunch of late-comers will think they can replicate those results, but they probably won't.

All of my walmarts, targets, etc have been stacked with these. It must be regional shortages causing online to sell out...?

Same here, well probably not stacked but very easy to find at retail (2-3 at each of our local Wallies). With that being said, I havnt seen one at our local Lego store in awhile

Both are probably likely.

It jumps to $150 on Amazon as soon as they run out of stock. Many people think it will not last long since a blue X-wing is coming out soon. The double wammy of quick flipping and people stocking up for possible early retirement is causing shortages.  You can either flip it now and make some easy money or hedge your bets on a possible early retirement.  It's probably better to read up on the Poe X-wing thread and form your own opinions on the short and long term potential of this set.

All I know is that the single one copy I wanted for my son is currently on its way to my house from uncle Bezos' garage.... $71 plus tax from a few days ago, so I'm happy....

Same here.  Just arrived couple days ago for son's bday.  Built one myself as well.
