September 26, 20169 yr While I appreciate deals in any form, am I the only one that prefers a product link in lieu of a screenshot?

September 26, 20169 yr Another popular Lego collectors' website has a "top discounts" page which, today, at the top of the list has 79010 Goblin King Battle for $25.99 on Amazon. Of course, if it ever existed at that price, it's gone now... did anyone see that price?

I doubt it will ship, but we'll see.

September 26, 20169 yr Can confirm the target dimensions fun pack BOGOF Is active in store. Just picked up two for $11.99 total. Edit : shows up on the in-store scanners as active, but not at the till. Needed an override based on the ad. Then noticed the ad says "available Tuesday" under it, so this promo might only be truly live tomorrow. Also, get your flu shot at Target, paid by your insurance, and get a $5 gift card. I think the "Available Tuesday" is referring to the A-Team pack that is pictured above the "Available Tuesday" text. That and other Wave 6 stuff are released tomorrow.

That and other Wave 6 stuff are released tomorrow. It was just a weird experience. No signage in the store. Went to the guy at the Electronics counter and asked "Are these Buy One Get One Free?". He looked at me like he didn't know, but then took out his red handheld scanner and said "let's see". Scanned it and said "Hmm yes, it says here Buy One Get One Free, so yes". Went to get my flu shot and my Gift Card, went to check out, said to the cashier "These should be BOGOF". She said "ah yes" but then told me a total price that was clearly two packs. Then the madness started (assistant managers, intercom messages etc.), but luckily there was a paper copy of the flyer with the ad in it in a drawer somewhere. So this is some sort of a secret promo, which means: more hassle at the register but more chances of finding the good fun packs as people won't be flocking to them.

It's more profitable just not to communicate with your employees. That way, when it's a mistake, the customer doesn't notice. Kinda like how TRU doesn't know about the FO General polybag this week, or "forgots" to put your free polybag in with your purchase.

It's pretty bad how many time they've "forgotten" to give me the promo polybags.

It's really dumb though, I really just think TRU employees and managers don't care. They really shouldn't be doing anything that deters a customer from returning or taking away from a pleasant shopping experience. Poor management, plain & simple.

A lot of them just don't care and that's Bad. A couple employees at my tru are nice and know me as a regular but a lot of them are ill informed, not very friendly, and lack knowledge when it comes to their weekly promos.

There's two TRU store near me that always doesn't give a crap about the promo and when they have the polybags come in, they just drop them in the aisle.
September 26, 20169 yr Had to ask for the first order general polybag at TRU (this is normal --- someone commented it is amazing how many times TRU forgot the promo poly....I've NEVER had any TRU volunteer the free poly...ever lol). Was told they don't have it three times, then suggested (for a fifth time) to check behind the customer service counter, in that open brown box right there. Finally got it, was able to buy just one.
September 26, 20169 yr Oh! Is this the TRU complaint thread? Cool! ... I'm noticing my TRU has more Lego in stock than ever. The regular Lego aisles are fully stocked...and now growing outside the normal Lego section... given shelf space up by the front door, in the Star Wars section, end caps, and now Friends and Elves are moving into the main aisle next to the bicycles. I wonder if the recent coupon / discount drought is having the same effect around the country? My store has shelf tags up for the F.O. General promo, but with everything marked at RRP + 10%, I can live without this polybag. I expect to see loads of them for sale in store next week for $4.99 or $5.99.
September 26, 20169 yr TRU is probably just stocking up for the Bricktober promotion and then holiday shopping.
September 26, 20169 yr The district manager for TRU down here says that from this point on the stores are really making a push for more Lego retail space. It's amazing how much they sell even with the extra TRU tax.

Both the TRU in my area have had the layout you describe since i got in the game this time last year. Seems like they are just catching up to the new standard layout
