Shoot, the store I went to yesterday afternoon had stacks of them sitting on the floor.  MV is pretty small though.

Check your Sam’s Clubs. I ended up with 35 TIE Bombers at $35 / each (46% off) between two stores. One store they were unmarked so have an employee scan one if they are still marked full price. Seems to be a national markdown from what I’ve been seeing / reading online.

It's been a while since I looked into it, but I don't think the discount is as good as we can get through other means -- at least for "investment" purposes.  More a convenient discount for something you're going to build.

LUG= LEGO user Group.  If you are a member of a LUG, about once a quarter LEGO allows you into their stores early and you get a 15% discount on sets < $100 and some above.  I find the 15% off more useful when used to get PAB cups than with sets.  YMMV.

I saw something similar for another set, 70% off price online but unavailable for pickup. I went to the local store and saw two on the shelf (even though app said unavailable) at full price, showed them the sale price in the app, and they manually adjusted the price at checkout. Whether or not they were correct, the only concern seemed to be that the sale price was from Walmart and not a 3rd party seller.
