I think this is spot on.  For the first time in a bit we are going to have a buyers market this holiday season.  No more cash infusions from the government, student loans have resumed, and interest rates have risen faster than wages resulting is less disposable income for the average Joe.  There is a strong likelihood that many companies, including Lego, ramped up production after the post covid boom when money was flowing that will cause supply demand ratio that is 180 from a couple of years ago.  Quite a few companies have lowered guidance for this quarter already due to weak sales projections

Me personally, I'm not biting on anything now and I think we will see 50 - 70% off on some sets for the first time in forever.  The sets the poster mentioned are ones that have been poor performers for Lego and I think they are trying to move them now while there is not a lot of other sales going on.

Just my two cents.  Not a frequent poster but I find this **** fascinating.

Good Luck

This is correct.  Peak demand was around Easter 2021 and a decent bump again during 2021 holiday season.  Toy market has been all downhill since then and the companies kept producing at Covid demand levels.  Not to mention all the delayed shipments of stuff that was overproduced and arrived after the demand was gone.  Lately, it seems like a lot of licensed stuff (Star Wars, Marvel, etc.) is suffering from lack of interest in the underlying movies/TV shows.  Seems like a strange crossroads in pop culture history right now.

Wrong thread sorry

What is this magic? Why cannot this be found via search? Search produces $47 one with less reviews. Only direct link to the item works for me.

Walmart+ is $49 for new members. I did not see an option to extend so I cancelled and will hope to rejoin tomorrow with the 1/2 off deal.

Normally there's a grace period to be considered a new member, is that not the case here?  My membership is expiring in a couple of days and was debating whether it's worth renewing.  Will definitely do so if I'd be eligible for half off again.

A few people said it's not offered on a recently canceled subscription and they had to create a new account.

I think some were not patient before posting. I already canceled mine, so crossing fingers. It doesn't expire until 11/20.

Still available. I was hopeful for this set but with WM and Amazon blowing this out for $25, I regret having started to build an inventory of these.

Kohls has nearly 250 sets for sale. Of course the sale is 5%.

They've pulled the 5% crap early November previous years, only to discount the same sets 20-30% off with the same 15/50 KC offer later in the month. Can't imagine they won't do the same with the economy squeezing everyone right now.

Hold the line...

Some sets are 30% off. Their "search by discount" option is broken for me, but this includes the Hoth AT-ST, Disney 100 minifigs and several other sets.

Some sets are 30% off, including Disney 100 minifigs, Boba's Throne, Llama village, Friends Theatre and the Hoth AT-ST. I cannot get their sort-by-discount function to work right to get a good list though.

I see prices changing slowly. I'm up to about 25 sets at 30% off. So the line was held, just not for long 😆

Update: Around 35 sets now. So prices are trickling still.

Remember kids, Kohl's sends pancakes. So order syrup. And they also ship direct from store, so if you wait with stuff in your cart at your local store they may get shipped to someone else right under your nose.
