I'd say never buy LEGO sold and shipped by a mainland Chinese seller on Walmart.com - but OP here says it arrived next day in a Walmart bag = local delivery from their Walmart store.

Correct....it didn't even go thru a shipping service.  It was hand delivered by Walmart from my local store.   It would be nice to know how they pulled this drop-ship off.  Nice!

To Clarify, you are saying in the walmart bag (shipping polybag) inside there was a regular lego box that looked 100% authentic and identical to the genuine set? Seems super shady to me with a chinese seller and an incredible price on an exclusive set that we know was never less than 50$

It's still not less than $50.  It's $63.75.  They found a way to sell Walmart's own inventory for less than Walmart sells it, right under their nose, from 14,000 miles away.  And yes, it's a real Lego set.  The Chinese never touched it.

Sounds like triangulation scam. You are not the one scammed, site where walmart gift card was purchased got fake CC.

Here's a pic of the special WM polybag (no padding) used for local deliveries:

@enotoga: You should have some order details on a red-bordered sticker on either the bag (blurred area in my pic) or directly on the Galaxy Explorer box [HATE that, have to remove them with a hair dryer].

@knifer: agree, the trick here must be in the payment method.

I missed the Walmart $50 Galaxy Explorer in November so I pulled the trigger on one for $63.75 from GanZhouShengShiBingMei Co.Ltd. on the Walmart website.  It arrived in a bag the next day, even though Walmart gave me an estimated delivery date 3 weeks out.  Obviously it was pulled from Walmart's local inventory.  Clever hustle.

I have found “deals” from third party sellers on Wally twice now and twice now they have been cancelled.

first of all why are we discussing this in daily Deals

2nd, maybe Walmart is starting to commingle their inventories similar to Amazon using an AI to figure out more cost effective combination of sourcing and shipping locations

it is amazing to me the gwp blacktron is holding in there at $70 on ebay

it started to dip to $55 but is steadily already back to $70

the only thing I can think is that a lot of people want it and very few people for whatever reason (Christmas, Inflation, etc) don't want to spend the $190

it could still go down but I am thinking this one may hold its value better than most recently

true on the less than $50 but with them at $50 I got two for $90 from Walmart with that coupon code and over 10% cash back so my net cost was about $40 each lol.  black tron going for 70 as a gwp to go with the galaxy explorer for 40 lol

Has anyone actually been able to buy Boba Fett Helmet from Amazon lately?

PSA for those who have a regular Kroger (or Kroger company brand like Dillon's, Smiths, Fry's etc) nearby. The Seasonal section is being reset for Valentine's day but my local Kroger still had leftovers from Christmas. No price labels to be found, but most scanned 70-90% off, including:

41949 DOTS bag tags (w letters) MSRP $29.99, rings up for $3 (90% off)

41944 DOTS candy kitty bracelet and bag tag MSRP $14.99, rings up for $1.50 (90% off)

71760 ninjago jay's thunder dragon evo MSRP $19.99, rings up for $6 (70% off)

A few kinds of DOTS bracelets incl 41923 MSRP $5.99, ring up at $1.80 (70% off)

71396 Bowser Jr's Clown Car MSRP $9.99, rings up for $3 (70% off)

There were other sets as well that were not discounted, so do check.

Damn, you guys are fast and all-consuming!  That one sat there all day, and who knows how long before.

I was trying to wait until 1/10 to place another Blacktron order, hoping for the CNY GWP double dip, but Honey has 12% CB on select sets including some of the Sale sets.

where do you all see these better deals? when i log into honey all i see is 5 bucks back on some big sets.

So, on BS.  Does it work for anyone?  No matter what I input, inventory is "unknown".  I just get current price.

No, walmart cut off access to the inventory information a few months ago. I think because they are trying to phase out that older database system (based on something I heard from an employee a while back). It is still accurate on price though, so if you've scouted some stock it's still useful.

So, how are you guys finding the S&H "search store stock" function going?  If it goes on sale does it just not show up regardless now?  Always seemed pretty accurate to me but lately I'm seeing a lot of "out of stock" when I can see it on the shelves -- and not just a few.

The fine print when you search for store stock often says "not supported for this store"...for all stores that I try. In-stock stuff naturally shows as OOS when this disclaimer appears.

Anyone have luck finding inventory checking stores that say “unknown” and list a price?

No, there's random finds but not enough to justify your time at the end of the day.
