How many of these will be the famous end-of-year "reappearances" that change into "waiting for new stock"  before being canceled? Or does only apply if it shows as on backorder instead of "add to bag"?

The decrease in price doesnt mean they had any available. Price is lowered sometimes for the retail stores. (Per what Ive read elsewhere)

Most of the times it's both.....When it comes to online the problem is they may only have a tiny amount in stock......They could sell a ton of orders and only have 10 or 20 of a specific set and then cancel the majority of orders....Happens in Non-Lego items all the time unfortunately...I've been on both sides of the fence

Both meaning they reduce the price online and reduce the price at stores...And like i said in the previous post in most cases they'll have a tiny amount in stock for online orders and will outsell orders and have to cancel them
