I'm not sure that gift card ever stacked on the original purchase, but it did stack when you made your product purchase as long as some small portion went on the card.  Those were the days.

Dang, missed out on this.  Was there some good deal on this one somewhere that I missed?  Ebay prices are 20-30% lower than RRP which seems odd for a new set like this.  I saw the other post on this but doesn't look like there was a response to why there are so many discounted:

I see an overpriced set getting the usual 20-30% discount. Turd at msrp.

It did back in the day. Not to mention the ability to buy gift cards with gift cards. The delivery was fast enough to chain them to get 25-30% off
