Threw in a small city set that was on sale to get to free shipping.  Got a confirmation email.

How does BN feel about going over the limit by placing multiple orders?

Yep, I had a call into them about that, but as I was on hold the order was cancelled...Darn.

They are very strict. Probably the worst among retailers in terms of that.

Cancelled.

Used a different cc than two weeks ago and checked out as guest. What are they matching on?

IP address? Shipping address? I've had luck rejecting their address suggestions and varying it ever so slightly. Although you can't do that when it comes to billing. PayPal is another option. Always use guest check out. Also, if you have a Gmail address you can put a dot anywhere in the address and it will still go to the same Gmail. I.e. [email protected] = [email protected] but most retailers see them as different.

Anyways, thanks for posting the deal. Hopefully some more of us can nab it!

I just bought it straight up and paid the shipping. 32.00 all in. no issues.

I tried a different card, guest, and my wife as a buyer. Nada on all. They are super tight with their items.

Kinda same here. just added a small set to throw over into free shipping. so far no issues but this is my first one as well.

The methods the members of this forum use to figure out work-arounds to limits and bans never ceases to amaze me - well done! 👍

For those that were cancelled, are you getting the "payment failed verification" notification?  I guess the "Limit 5" in the description is horse hockey.

it did not pass our order verification process.

Went the friends and family route to pick up 3 of them. All got confirmations so I think that worked for now.

Is this really only going to be a B&N exclusive and won't be available elsewhere? I would think Lego LEGO Shop at Home would have at least a "coming soon" tag by now if it were.

Do a chat to get the set free if you also ordered $75 in HP sets. Customer chat took care of it for me. 2 Hedwigs + a free book of monsters.... to many addresses. Working my way through the chat with each order, no hiccups thus far.

Maybe it's just my age (60) but there comes a time in a man's life that you aren't willing to jump through all the hoops.  If B&N wants to sell to me, fine.  If they want to play their silly little games then they can kiss my fat ass.  There is too much other low-hanging fruit out there.

I recently had some friends help me consolidate all of my inventory from storage units and my home to a warehouse unit. They originally thought it was cool to be a Lego lord. They rescinded that statement and feel bad for me LOL.

Says free shipping but I'm being charged $5. Also says "FREE" item on checkout page lol. NVM you have to meet the threshold, just qualifies if you do.

I'm assuming if you've already hit limits on sets previously (other sets) that the whole order will cancel if you try to order more? Hedwig for example, already ordered 2 a few weeks ago.

FYI, I was able to get free shipping on my online order for the Book Monsters set using my Barnes & Noble membership log in without hitting any specific spending threshold.

I've never ordered this promo. I don't think I've even purchased Lego from B&N before. If I have, it's been years. For all intents and purposes, I'm the average holiday shopper they're trying to bring in with this kind of offer.

I placed an order and, to avoid missing out, paid for the promo expecting for customer support to be able to remove it. My order hasn't been cancelled but I waited half an hour for chat and they tell me I didn't pass their verification process. I'm back in one of their queues - this time on the phone waiting to talk to the authentication team lol.
