I ordered a single HP set to get the free Book on Monsters, that went through. I then returned to ordered 2 hedwigs, and they cancelled that order after reviewing. Ouch.

I tried that exact same combo and it wouldn't give me the free gift using the book.  Are you sure that you got it?
