They froze my account for two weeks for paying off my card too much -- I think.  Same thing happened with my Target card a couple months ago.  I also know of someone who had it happen with their Citi Costco card.  PITA

Crazy!

My very speculative take: Some big player that hoarded 500+ of these worked out a deal with Amazon to take them off their hands.

Although, zero idea if Amazon would ever do something like that. But it's just too coincidental that they fin the stash 3 weeks before the reissue methinks.

If ship in a bottle "resurfaces" we will know for sure.

Or maybe it's really the new set with wrong number?
