My understanding is that is a chance to be able to purchase it from them. I ended up redeeming VIP points for a paid.

Correct. i only have 14,900 VIP points, so this is my only option. I don't have any real cares about getting these, but it's just money.

In other news the retro Vip keychain is up for redemption - 100 pts each (limit 2). The equates to about $.75 a piece USD.

Ya when I purchased my 10.5 that was the largest size was hoping for 11 or 11.5

All of these VIP sweepstakes have got to be the best use of VIP points for LEGO.  Instead of giving discount on purchase and lose $5-$100 from each transaction, LEGO just entice people to spend their points for a chance to get one thing that cost $1 to make

 

At 6.5 points per dollar, the 15,600 point redemption gives you $2400 shoes. I took my chances with the VIP and Addias app lottery

I did this backwards... 650 redeems for $5.. not you redeem 15600 at the value of 6.5 is worth a dollar. Thanks for the clarity
