September 16, 20205 yr Lightsaber is toast. I screwed up. I wanted to use $70 worth of VIP points and accidentally purchased the phone gift card, not the online one. When I finally got off hold, 46 minutes later, the Lightsaber was gone. Lady stated that they got 10,000 Mos Eisleys to sell but only 3,000 giveaways. While waiting, a lightsaber popped up on ebay for $56 and lasted about 10 minutes. Now, there are some $100+ listings up. Edited September 16, 20205 yr by raindog

September 16, 20205 yr Not adding GWP for me. This seems to be a reoccurring issue. Anyone else having this problem? Solution? 1 hour ago, scatttcat said: Only way to seemingly get Yoda's Lightsaber hilt GWP as of now. Edited September 16, 20205 yr by IronManDan

At least the woman was nice enough to add my points back to my account, along with $15 more for my trouble. Unfortunately, since they closed the Birmingham store, the nearest LEGO store is in Atlanta, over 100 miles away.

September 16, 20205 yr the 183 treehouses from Amazon came today. in surprisingly good shape considering the box was about 10 inches too long without any sort of cushioning.

Shipping is free https://us.zavvi.com/toys-lego/lego-star-wars-at-at-walker-toy-40th-anniversary-75288/12559738.html Debating whether to go big as I feel like decent discounts on this set might be hard to come by.

I believe the last time we had a hard count of exclusive was the TLM2 Bhz which were 5000 units each (I think) Those appreciated to about $100 ea (range of $75-$125) or approx 6.6x the RRP of $14.99 (i think) I think this all gets me to where most folks already are...the Yoda Sabers will run around $100 😁 But if you spike it w/ the Covid effect...pulling a percentage out of my arse...I say prices get goosed another 30%...so I think the GWP will hit $130 plus or minus 20% for holiday-ness

However, the 100th store opened in NA last year but I don't know how many more have opened since then, if any. I wasn't sure each store received four cases (10 ea), I was guessing three cases based upon feedback from the mgr but we end up with roughly the same number - between 6000-7000 units in NA. What we don't know is how many more were released world wide. That is where your comparison to the TLM2 Bhz (5k ea and only released in NA) falls apart. We do know this was a last-minute addition GWP and so it could end up being one of the lowest production runs for a GWP in recent history. The fact that LEGO ran out day-one I think is testament to that. As for value, well, I guess we'll find out.
September 17, 20205 yr Just a heads up, the Tree House 21318 is now showing as "Sold Out" at Lego Shop USA. https://www.lego.com/en-us/product/tree-house-21318

Amazon has 750+ of these now, although strangely their price keeps fluctuating. After not selling any @ 316.66, Amazon now has raised the price to 389. Pricing Algorithms misbehaving?

If it's coming back they usually set it as temporarily out of stock. Sold out usually means it's gone but not always.

September 17, 20205 yr Imperial Star Destroyer has $30 off if you use code LEGOSW at Zavvi. Not a huge discount but, how many times do you see one? https://us.zavvi.com/toys-lego/lego-star-wars-imperial-star-destroyer-75252/12488005.html Edited September 17, 20205 yr by raindog

Everything I've bought from Zavvi / HUT has come in great condition, but I know that's not the case for everyone. Worried about a set this large. Thinking that even if there was a double VIP promo (if SSD was not excluded!), you'd still be better off with Zavvi. Most of us can probably find this without tax other places too... I won't bite at $30 off but it's a great option for anyone who wants it now. Edited September 17, 20205 yr by RightDwigt
