After my last Best Buy LEGO order came in a bubble mailer, I'm glad this one is in stock for pickup.

As I read it, they are not in stock locally so the only advantage is refusing the order at the store.

Wonder the quantity required to get them in a box?

I do too since I ordered three smallish Olaf sets.  They barely fit in the mailer and were all smashed flat and edges broken open.  They may well have been smashed upon packing as they barely fit even while smashed.  I returned all of them.  Store employee agreed, bubble mailer was stupid.

A few months ago I picked up a Boost for $85 from Best Buy which had great packaging.  So who knows what their methods are.

I ordered 10 Olaf sets, apparently that was enough for a box.

Hate to add to this in the Daily Deals thread, but I ordered 3 Olafs as well, but they came in a box. So, there's probably no rhyme or reason for what qualifies as box vs bubble mailer. Even still, the Olafs were all smooshed, even in a ridiculously oversized 24x14x4 box (that wasn't smooshed).

Got my orders from VIP today.  Shipped in the Lego boxes with labels on them, beat to heck.  Just a heads up.

Stopped into my local LEGO Store this week -

A lot of items that we already know are retiring were on a special display, marked at 20% off. Lots of stuff on the shelves too.

Highlights might include 21143/21145 Minecraft sets, Ninjago Golden Dragon, the Rexcelsior, etc.

Other stuff is still available elsewhere at a discount like the Star Wars Hoth Action set, and the Toy Story 4 sets... Hidden Side Wave 1, etc...

Nothing surprising about what was marked down, however what ws annoying, is in addition to the normal sticker, they markered through every UPC symbol of said clearance items. I am not sure if this is to prevent fraud returns or prevent cashiers from ringing stuff up at the wrong price, or if it's an anti-reseller move, but it was very annoying regardless.
