Same here.  $30 for shipping but no tax.  $727 is still about $100 cheaper than getting it here (with tax)

What's folks experience with Harrods shipping to US?  In reading up on them I saw their online shopping is notorious for not deliverying on items due to items not being updated for being out of stock, etc.  I ordered 1 earlier with no issues and tried ordering another for a buddy but it kept rejecting my card for some reason the second go around.

That being said, Falcon earlier was scheduled to ship early Aug on Lego US but looks like now it's back to the standard "60 days".  Either way it's available to purchase at least if you missed it on the Harrods site: https://www.lego.com/en-us/product/millennium-falcon-75192  I went ahead and got one just in case the Harrods doesn't pan out

Lastly, the Death Star is finally available on US lego: https://www.lego.com/en-us/product/death-star-75159 so snagged one as well just in case it ends up retiring later this year

Taj Mahals from Targat came shipped in their own boxes, no outer box. 2 of 3 have long shallow dents after being sent ground for 2000 miles. I talked to CS immediately after I ordered to try to get them sent to my store which is a no go. She said the safest shipping option is to call CS, ask for US team and they can put instructions for packers to put them in shipping boxes, but it would take an extra week to process (risk not getting them).

do sets shipped to store for pick-up do better?

That option at walmart, for me, resulted in a lower-denominator of careless workers given a shot of "venting their frustration" on my orders

The sets I have had shipped to a Walmart for pickup have arrived in a box as if it was shipped to my house.  If I order product they have in stock, it'll be wrapped in a walmart bag so it's a little more chance of dmg.  However, I still have not had any problems with Walmart.

Target on the other hand is very hit and miss.  Small sets can come in a garment bag smashed like a pancake.  Larger sets can come in boxes that are not sealed correctly and still get smashed.  I received one Target shipment with zero packaging material.  Somehow the set still arrived in good shape.

Do you think the Hogwarts Castle will be retiring soon? Want to get one for personal use and was waiting for a sale.

There’s a separate thread for these type of questions.  This question has also been recently asked, refer to that thread and for future such inquiries:

Zavvi also has the 42082 Technic Rough Terrain Crane for $209.99 plus free shipping with code CRANE. RRP is $299.99. I've been waiting for this to come back in stock and have a code for it. I just bought one for me and my kid.

Code not working for me

just worked for me 1 min ago - CRANE anyway.  strange though, Apple Pay always says charge doesn't go through with Zavvi but it does.

Someone talk me out of buying these. There is no way these are a better investment over literally any other cheaper harry potter set. That will most likely go out of stock.

I think they will sell out pretty fast and that it will be a hot item around Christmas.
