What are the odds of 75936 getting a discount soon?  The price is the only reason I can think of that it is just sitting there like a log in stock while every other set around it goes on backorder or OOS.

The giant TRex and Jurrasic gate set has been backordered...maybe a month ago...that's when it became apparent, for me, that popularity had nothing to do with the shortage

Hogwart's Castle was just up on Amazon.  I could not get it to add to my cart.  That means I missed out, right?  I kept trying and it would go to an empty cart.

Cheapest i see is 409$ for assembly square, checked other sellers and it goes even higher. Odd that it looks like its for sale from amazon for that inflated price.

Sorry, I try to post links ASAP. It still looks like a 3rd party seller to me, they just got the buy box.

Did multiple orders for $100 and I think I got the last stock for $92.33. Wish it was the other way around.

So, are people thinking the Great Hall is a good investment, why getting it at even at or close to MSRP is good?

Also, is there some advantage to buying it from Amazon as opposed to say Walmart?

I think a lot of people are trying to avoid the FOMO of these sets not being available at all.  The supply is really feast or famine right now.  I don't think it's a good investment per se, but if you have been holding out and want one for your personal collection, the difference in price between now and what it might be later is negligible. No real difference between Amazon or Walmart, other than some people might have 5% cash back from either place on their credit card.

are the folks buying at RRP of the Treehouse, Hogwarts (both), modulars, etc planning on QFLL?

and if so, aren't you worried that IF stocks replenish that there will be massive refund requests?

I am tempted to QFLL...but for the big sets, I would only consider local sale for cash

21318 Treehouse is back in stock @ Amazon,  not sure how long it will last.  Finally got one for personal after trying since end of Feb.
