Not anymore.....

Wow. I'm sorry it was only momentary, I guess i got extremely lucky.  I had separate windows open for the Roller Coaster, Bookshop, and The Stranger Things set as I wasn't sure what the deal is with curbside pickup at my mall based NJ Lego shop.  (Looks like no go on that as no one in store is picking up the phone)  I refreshed at 10am to see that it was available for some reason.  Didn't want to chance it and quickly placed order.  Looks like OOS 4 minutes later.. wow

Gamestop has a deal going on right now 20% off of $50, 30% off of $100 for toys and collectibles. Pretty much everything is out of stock for shipping, but I was able to find a 75233 for in store pickup and once I added a CMF series 19 bag I got the 20% off.

My local Kroger Marketplace had every since set 20% off except for Friends and Disney sets. Even new sets that just came out in the last couple of months. I don't know if this part of a clearance cycle. When they start a clearance they usually start with 20% and rapidly move up until it's all gone. Just thought it was weird and worth checking if you have one close to you.

Anyone ever seen this? Oh  20% off all LEGO at Kroger marketplace in Columbus, oh

EVERY Lego at Fred Meyer in the northwest along with at least one security tag. Use a heat gun to soften glue, remove, and clean with Goo Gone. Watch out for the matte finish boxes, their ink rubs off if you run too hard or get the box too hot.

I sometimes use a heatgun to remove, then cover the sticky residue spot with my FBA label.  Then cover the UPC with a duplicate FBA sticker of a blank one. I wouldn't do this to an older or valuable set, but quicker flips are usually ok.

5% eBay bucks through the 21st for the lucky ones...

sidenote, I try to buy at least 1 item, even if its super cheap, during each eBay bucks bonus period. the last time that I didn't buy something, I also did not receive the next few offers. Could be a coincidence, but just tossing it out there. so good work eBay, you have me hooked during these promotions...

Amazon had a freak sale on the Pirate Roller Coaster for $75 yesterday. When it got in my cart it jumped to $89. I was going to post the deal here, but I got the last one.

You might want to add a tracker to it in case they do it again.

Tie Helmet oos on Target.com again.

On a side note, has anyone else notice that the Tie Helmet has been removed from the LEGO search on target.com?  I cannot find it by searching for any part of the name or the set number 75274.  Is this just me or has anyone else noticed this?  The above link is the only way I can now find this set.  I also noticed one of these in one of my local targets (very nice box too) but it isn't showing up online to order.

This is common when the item is out of stock, and happens with many items---not just lego.  It will show up again in a search when its back in stock.

I guess what I find curious is that it is in stock, in some stores, just not online.  I guess by removing it from online they are protecting store stock from being bought up online?

The Stranger Things set has been sold out for weeks, but I can still find it online on target.com.

idk...

Jet.com was a backup for folks like me who are banned from Walmart.com but their lego selections really went scarce this year and their discount no longer matched those from Walmart.com. Something was cooking. Oh well.

I had purchased all 3 helmets for myself when they came out.  When I heard they were selling for a premium I figured I would sell the one I had and order a new one when it became available.  Long story short I sold mine for $73 plus shipping on ebay.  So all said and done, I made somewhere around a $10 profit which wasn't really worth the effort.  The funny thing is the replacement arrived at my house before the auction ended.  I should have just had Target send it to the guy directly.

Odd shaped box to ship in my opinion. Like the size of a tennis shoe box.

If you sold this for $73, how did you make $10 profit? Ebay and PayPal fees would take 13% of that leaving you with $63.51 (actually a little less than that because they also take 13% of your shipping charge). These are $60 before sales tax. So that would leave you with $3.51 without any sales tax. If you pay 6% or greater in your state for sales tax when you bought it then you actually lost money selling it (and since shipping is charged the 13% fees it is probably 5% for the sales tax before you lost money on the deal).

I'm not sure of your math but my ebay fee was like $3 and the buyer pays the tax and shipping.  Luckily i charged a flat fee of $14.99 for shipping and was able to ship for less.  Like I mentioned all said and done it wasnt really worth it.

I don't know how long you have been selling, but that $3 fee you paid was only to PayPal. Ebay will send you a invoice at the end of the month for your total fees for the month that you owe them. And the sales tax I was talking about is the tax you paid when you first purchased the set, not the tax your buyer paid when they bought it.

Eh, I sold 1 so far and 1 canceled Bricklink order because the guy found it in store. I have a fair amount of interest though and a few offers. I feel my others will sell soon but it definitely isn't an "easy" flip.
