lol, great question, maybe it's own thread?  I'd still say the sales.  At least I got double pts, a cool UCS Y-Wing blueprint, and a Black Card holder which I sold for $60.  I don't see those sets, minus the Droid Commander (at the right price), being barn burners.

Seems that LEGO Shop at Home is running now but in EU there are the same crap sales.

No no, this is all normal.  Sale goes live at 11pm central.. I mean 11:30 maybe, but in reality, just wait until midnight central for the prices to possibly be updated by then and maybe you can check out by then too. 50/50 shot.
